- I think there are probably gaps in everyone’s practice of feedback between what is ideal and what we do. I’m no exception. I think I often tend to make sure I am providing self level feedback in order to reassure a student. And she says that isn’t helpful.
I hadn’t heard, as well, of the feed up, feed back, feed forward approach, but I like this, as it makes sense for the journal that the student is on. - I think going forward, I will take to heart the four levels of feedback, and try to focus more on process and self-regulation. I also want to try to employ my feedback more as an acknowledgement of a student’s path through learning.
